Preparations
Samstagfrüh sind wir nach London Stansted geflogen und sind sofort in die Marina gefahren und haben mit den Vorbereitungen für die Überstellung begonnen.
Saturday morning we flew to London Stansted, rented a car and went directly to the marina where we started preparations for the transfer.

Die letzten drei Tage waren anstrengend, stressig aber produktiv. Am Samstag sind wir vom Flughafen sofort in die Marina gefahren, haben die bestellten Sachen vom Büro des Maklers abgeholt, an Bord gebracht und ausgepackt. Dann haben wir uns einen ersten Überblick verschafft, bevor wir zum Einchecken ins Hotel gefahren sind.
Nach einem herzhaften Mittagessen haben wir ein paar Haushaltssachen einkauft, sind wieder zurück in die Marina gefahren und haben ein bisschen aufgeräumt.
The last three days have been exhausting, stressful but productive. On Saturday we went straight from the airport to the marina, picked up the ordered items from the broker’s office, brought them on board and unpacked them. Then we got a first overview before we went to the hotel to check in.
After a hearty lunch we bought some household items, drove back to the marina and cleaned the boat up a bit.

Am Sonntag haben wir eine große Einkaufstour für die nautische Ausrüstung gemacht, wir waren in zwei Geschäften und haben unsere Einkaufsliste abgearbeitet: Ein Kugelfender, eine Pütz, Life-Lines, Feuerlöscher u.s.w.
Den Nachmittag haben wir an Bord verbracht und die Ausrüstung vervollständigt. Die neue Beschriftung angerbracht, das Funktgerät, die Feuerlöscher und die EPIRB montiert und vor allem haben wir uns den Durchlass für die Logge angeschaut – es war kein Grund ersichtlich, warum das Ding nicht dicht sein sollte.
Wir haben an dem Tag reichlich Geld ausgegeben aber auch viele wichtige Dinge erledigt.
On Sunday we went on a big shopping tour for the nautical equipment. We were in two chandleries and worked through our shopping list: a ball fender, a bucket, life lines, fire extinguishers, etc.
We spent the afternoon on board and completed the equipment. The new lettering was attached, the radio, the fire extinguisher and the EPIRB mounted and, above all, we looked at the skin-fitting of the log-transducer – there was no apparent reason why the damned thing shouldn’t be leak-proof.
We spent a lot of money that day but also finished a lot of important works.
