Im letzten Jahr ist noch viel passiert und auch viel am Boot gearbeitet worden. In diesem Blog hat das (bisher) fast keinen Niederschlag gefunden. Hier ist eine kurze Zusammenfassung der wichtigsten Ereignisse.
A lot happened last year and a lot of work was done on the boat. This has (so far) almost not been reflected in this blog. Here is a brief summary of the most important events of the past year.

Außer dem Törn von drei Wochen nach einer Woche Arbeit am Boot sind Matthias und ich im Herbst für eine zweiwöchige Reparaturschicht wieder nach Lelystad zurückgekommen. In diesen vierzehn Tagen ist wieder sehr viel erledigt worden.

Apart from the trip of three weeks after a week of work on the boat, Matthias and I came back to Lelystad in the autumn for a two-week’s repair shift. A lot got done again in this fortnight.

Nachdem uns Livia in Leeuwarden verlassen hat, fahren wir praktisch dieselbe Strecke wieder zurück. Nur Makkum lassen wir aus und von Urk aus wollen wir in die „Randmeeren“, eine Reihe von Seen und Kanälen, die zur Sicherung des Grundwassers in höher gelegenen Landesteilen bei der Gewinnung von Flevoland künstlich angelegt wurden. Heute sind es Naturreservate und Erholungsgebiete.
Wir fahren nur bis Elburg, weil wir unter den zwei Brücken bei Almere wohl nicht mehr durchkommen. Für die 12,40 m laut Karte ist selbst unser Mast zu hoch.
After Livia has left us in Leeuwarden, we sail practically the same route back. We only skip Makkum and from Urk we want to go to the „Randmeeren“, a series of lakes and canals that were artificially created to secure the groundwater in higher parts of the country when Flevoland was mined. Today they are nature reserves and recreational areas.
We sail only as far as Elburg because we probably won’t get under the two bridges at Almere. Even our mast is too high for the 12.40 m according to the map.

Nach Elburg fahren wir – mit dem obligaten Zwischenstopp in Urk – zurück nach Lelystad, wo wir zusammenpacken, das Boot winterfest machen und Richtung Dießen abreisen. Wir verbringen eine Nacht am Ammersee und fahren am nächsten Tag zurück
nach Wien.
After Elburg we return to Lelystad – with the obligatory stopover in Urk – where we pack up, winterise the boat and leave for Dießen. We spend one night at the Ammersee and return to Vienna the next day.
Arbeiten im Herbst

An einem trüben Herbsttag verlassen wir die Baustelle…

Anfang Oktober fahren Matthias und ich wieder in die Niederlande, um einige anstehende Arbeiten zu erledigen. Wir wollten zwar auch ein wenig segeln gehen, aber letztlich ist das Wetter nicht gut genug und wir haben dann doch so viel Arbeit, dass wir das Boot an Land lassen. Am Ende der zwei Wochen haben dafür wirklich viel geschafft.
At the beginning of October, Matthias and I go to the Netherlands again to do some work that needs to be done. We also wanted to go sailing a little, but in the end the weather is not good enough and we end up with so much work that we leave the boat ashore. At the end of the two weeks, we really got a lot done.
Schon Aaron Woolfe im Suffolk Yacht Harbour hat 2020 den Wassereintritt beim Kranen bemerkt. Jetzt haben wir eine neue Logge, samt Tiefenmesser und Thermometer und hoffen, dass alles dicht ist.
Aaron Woolfe in Suffolk Yacht Harbour in 2020 already noticed the water ingress when craning. Now we have a new log, depth gauge and thermometer and hope that everything remains sealed.
Im Salon wurden die alten, mit Vinyl beschichteten Paneele entfernt und neue Sperrholzpaneele angebracht. Sie sollen in Zukunft in einer hellen Farbe gestrichen werden. Auch die Verkleidungen an den Seiten und in der Achterkoje sollen neu gemacht werden. Das geht am besten, wenn die Fenster zum Neuversiegeln ausgebaut sind.
In the salon, the old vinyl-covered panels were removed and new plywood panels installed. They are to be painted a light colour in the future. The linings on the sides and in the quarter berth are also to be redone. The best way to do this is while the windows are off for resealing.
Nun ist auch der zweite Teil der Elektroinstallation erledigt: Die Batterien wurden an das Ladegerät angeschlossen, der neue Hauptschalter ist montiert und eine Trenndiode für das Laden der beiden Batterien wurde installiert. Testen können wir das neue Setup erst, wenn das Boot im Wasser ist und wir den Motor wieder starten können.
Now the second part of the electrical installation is also done: The batteries have been connected to the charger, the new main switch has been mounted and a separating diode for charging the two batteries has been installed. We can only test the new setup when the boat is in the water, and we can start the engine again.
Der neue Pinnen-Pilot ist nun auch montiert und angeschlossen.

Das wird Hanna besonders freuen: Im Gas-Kasten haben wir einen neuen Holzrahmen für die Gasflasche. Auf der alten sind schon Pilze gewachsen…
Hanna will be especially happy about that: We have a new wooden frame for the bottle in the gas compartment. Mushrooms have already grown on the old one…
Ohne Kartentisch ist sehr viel mehr Platz vor der Achterkoje. Ob das so bleibt, ist allerdings noch fraglich. Wir brauchen auch Stauraum und Ablagefläche für die Navigations-
instrumente und Seekarten. Da muss mir noch eine Lösung einfallen, die die Bequemlichkeit nicht einschränkt.
Without the chart table, there is much more space in front of the quarter berth. Whether it will stay that way, however, is still questionable. We also need storage space for the navigation instruments and charts. I still have to come up with a solution that doesn’t restrict comfort.
Über den Sommer habe ich eine neue Persenning anfertigen lassen und einen zweiten Teil für das Vorschiff gleich mit besorgt.
Over the summer I had a new tarpaulin made and got a second part for the foredeck at the same time.
