Going home
Am Samstag haben wir die pepperbird wieder zum Kran verlegt und noch einmal aufgeräumt und geputzt. Am Sonntag waren wir dann wieder 14 Stunden unterwegs bis wir kurz vor Mitternacht in Wien ankamen. Nun sind wir bis Samstag in Quarantäne, obwohl wir bereits ein negatives Test-Ergebnis haben.
On Saturday we moved pepperbird back to the crane, tidied up again and cleaned her. On Sunday we were on the road again for 14 hours until we arrived shortly before midnight in Vienna. We are now in quarantine until Saturday, although we already have a negative test result.
Nach der letzten Ausfahrt haben wir nur mehr trübes und regnerisches Wetter. Erst am Samstag, dem Ersten Mai, wird es wieder sonniger und wir nutzen den Tag, um noch einmal aufzuräumen und ein paar vergessene Ecken gründlich zu putzen.
Die Regenfälle haben gezeigt, dass die vorderen Salonfenster in den Ecken nicht mehr ganz dicht sind. Ich versuche die Stellen mit Sikaflex abzudichten. Wenn die pepperbird wieder an Land steht, wird die Abdeckung wieder angebracht und dann sollte wieder alles trocken bleiben.
After the last sailing day we only have cloudy and rainy weather. It will not be brighter again until Saturday, May 1st, and we will use the day to tidy up the boat and clean up thoroughly a few forgotten corners.
The rains have shown that the front windows in the main cabin are no longer completely sealed in the corners. I try to seal the places with Sikaflex.
When pepperbird is back on land, the cover is put back on and everything should stay dry again.

Später am Samstagnachmittag beginnen wir zu packen, weil wir morgen möglichst früh aufbrechen wollen. Die Heimfahrt verläuft dann recht entspannt, weil am Sonntag kaum Lastwagen unterwegs sind. An der Bayerisch-Österreichischen Grenzen kommt noch etwas Regen auf, aber sonst kommen wir gut voran.
Later on Saturday afternoon we start packing because we want to leave tomorrow as early as possible. The journey home is then quite relaxed because there are hardly any trucks on Sunday. At the Bavarian-Austrian border there are a few rain showers, but otherwise we are making good progress.
